Accountant - audit preparation (Dallas, TX)

Amberfield Timber Auto Group is a Dallas company supplying vehicle parts and service, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
