Accountant - audit preparation (Dallas, TX)

Rivermark Forge Energy is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for service connections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around meter readings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service connections, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
