Accountant - audit preparation (Columbus, OH)

Rivermark Pike Auto Group is a Columbus company supplying vehicle parts and service, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with service appointments. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Columbus. • We reply to every applicant.
