Accountant - audit preparation (Colorado Springs, CO)

Redstone Cobalt Staffing is a Colorado Springs staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to temp assignments, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with temp assignments. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
