Accountant - audit preparation (Cincinnati, OH)

Ironwood Ivory Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Cincinnati focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with network equipment. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Cincinnati. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
