Accountant - audit preparation (Cincinnati, OH)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Maple Housing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 151 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to resident services, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around repair requests against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
