Accountant - audit preparation (Cincinnati, OH)

Clearpath Union Health Group is a healthcare provider in Cincinnati with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
