Accountant - audit preparation (Cincinnati, OH)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Harbor Farms Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field records, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with field records. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
