Accountant - audit preparation (Charlotte, NC)

Ironwood Meridian Hospitality Partners operates hotels and event venues around Charlotte, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around supplier orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with housekeeping schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
