Accountant - audit preparation (Charleston, SC)

Nova Thistle Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Charleston, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. We work to strict standards and value careful documentation. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with release testing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
