Accountant - audit preparation (Boise, ID)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Drift Banking Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Track costs around deposit accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with fraud alerts. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Boise. • We reply to every applicant.
