Accountant - audit preparation (Boise, ID)

Nova Rook Housing Partners is a nonprofit housing provider in Boise. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Boise. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease compliance, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around repair requests against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with lease compliance. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Boise. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
