Accountant - audit preparation (Baltimore, MD)

We are growing our team at Redstone Ivory Health Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 414 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
