Accountant - audit preparation (Baltimore, MD)

Ironwood Wilder Medical Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for production lots, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
