Accountant - audit preparation (Atlanta, GA)

Redstone Haven Learning Group is an education provider in Atlanta serving students and families. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to learning materials, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with learning materials. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
