Accountant - audit preparation (Atlanta, GA)

We are growing our team at Northwind Linden Banking Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Track costs around card disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to deposit accounts, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with deposit accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Atlanta. • We reply to every applicant.
