Accountant - audit preparation (Atlanta, GA)

Silverline Cobalt Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Atlanta. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. Customers come back because we explain what they need and what they do not. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around warranty claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Atlanta. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
