Accountant - audit preparation (Atlanta, GA)

Amberfield Vale Manufacturing Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
