Accountant - audit preparation (Atlanta, GA)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Cross Farms and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around packing house output against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
