Accountant - audit preparation (Atlanta, GA)

Northwind Cross Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Atlanta, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around electronic records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with patient education. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
