Accountant - audit preparation (Albuquerque, NM)

Stonegate West Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Albuquerque. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client records, and clear open items. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
