Accountant - audit preparation (Albuquerque, NM)

Stonegate Cobalt Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Albuquerque. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Track costs around vehicle inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer estimates. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Albuquerque, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
