Accountant - audit preparation (Albuquerque, NM)

Nova Hollow Care Services supports families and individuals in Albuquerque with personal care and coordination, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to visit scheduling, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
