Accountant - accounts payable (Tulsa, OK)

We are growing our team at Lumen Basin Facilities Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around cleaning schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer sites, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Tulsa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
