Accountant - accounts payable (Tucson, AZ)

Summit Fox Medical Group is a Tucson company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 63 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
