Accountant - accounts payable (Toledo, OH)

Fernwood Harbor Care Services Group provides in-home and community support in Toledo. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with caregiver training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
