Accountant - accounts payable (Toledo, OH)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Summit Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to parts orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with parts orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
