Accountant - accounts payable (Tampa, FL)

Harborlight Fox Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Tampa, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Track costs around regulatory submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
