Accountant - accounts payable (Tampa, FL)

Ironwood Pine Early Learning is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for licensing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with licensing records. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Tampa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
