Accountant - accounts payable (Tampa, FL)

Highbridge Thistle Medical is a Tampa company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
