Accountant - accounts payable (Tampa, FL)

Amberfield Hollow Farms is an agricultural business based around Tampa, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around packing house output against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with harvest schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Tampa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
