Accountant - accounts payable (Tampa, FL)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Cedar Legal Group Partners and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with client files. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Tampa. • We reply to every applicant.
