Accountant - accounts payable (Tampa, FL)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Cobalt Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around production lots against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with training materials. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Tampa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
