Accountant - accounts payable (Spokane, WA)

Greenridge Umber Facilities is a facilities company in Spokane with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around safety inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Spokane, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
