Accountant - accounts payable (Spokane, WA)

Westbrook Corner Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for supplier deliveries, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around vehicle inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
