Accountant - accounts payable (Spokane, WA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Iron Financial Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Track costs around vendor spend against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with account servicing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Spokane, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
