Accountant - accounts payable (Spokane, WA)

Silverline Thistle Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Spokane region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Spokane, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
