Accountant - accounts payable (Seattle, WA)

Rivermark Fox Auto Group is a Seattle company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
