Accountant - accounts payable (San Diego, CA)

Foxglove Field Staffing connects candidates and employers across the San Diego region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to candidate screening, and clear open items. • Track costs around onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with candidate screening. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
