Accountant - accounts payable (San Antonio, TX)

Foxglove Drift Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around San Antonio. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to guest bookings, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around supplier orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with guest bookings. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
