Accountant - accounts payable (San Antonio, TX)

Redstone Cross Facilities Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for safety inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around work orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
