Accountant - accounts payable (San Antonio, TX)

We are growing our team at Cedar Basin Health Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Antonio. • We reply to every applicant.
