Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

Lumen Harbor Energy is an energy provider in Salt Lake City focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Track costs around hardship programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing disputes, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
