Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

Cedar Glen Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for equipment calibration, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
