Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

Cedar Granite Staffing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for temp assignments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with temp assignments. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
