Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

Rivermark West Telecom Group provides broadband and phone service around Salt Lake City, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field visits, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
