Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Cedar Beacon Manufacturing Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 69 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
