Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

Greenridge Pine Community Partners Group runs community programmes across Salt Lake City, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Track costs around food distribution against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to benefits enrolment, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
