Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

Amberfield Fox Auto Group is a Salt Lake City company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to parts orders, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with parts orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
