Accountant - accounts payable (Salt Lake City, UT)

Bright Granite Manufacturing Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 505 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
